iPhone 18 Pro Screen Cover Leaked, Dynamic Island Shrink Confirmed
The screen cover of the iPhone 18 Pro has unexpectedly leaked on social media. The most noticeable change compared to the previous generation is the significant reduction in the size of the Dynamic Island. According to the latest leaks from bloggers, the punch-hole area for the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 18 Pro will be reduced by 35%, but the new phone will maintain the same bezel width as the previous iPhone 17 Pro, with the focus of visual evolution clearly on the interactive area at the top of the screen.
In terms of specific technical implementation, Apple will hide the infrared flood illuminator under the screen. Although the position of this component has been physically shifted, it will still provide efficient infrared illumination fill light in low-light environments, ensuring extremely high accuracy of 3D face recognition even in complete darkness.
At the same time, the front-facing camera, dot projector, and infrared lens will continue to be retained in the central core position of the screen. This precise layout adjustment suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will have the smallest screen opening in Apple's history, and their screen-to-body ratio will also be refreshed.
In terms of core hardware configuration, the iPhone 18 Pro series will be the first globally to feature the new A20 Pro processor. The series will also be equipped with 12GB of memory across the board, and the rear main camera will for the first time incorporate variable aperture technology. The battery capacity is expected to exceed 5000mAh, which is a milestone in the Pro series history.
