Apple's "Apple Intelligence" Has Appeared on User Devices in China
After nearly a year and a half of its launch in the US, Apple's artificial intelligence feature "Apple Intelligence" has quietly gone live in the Chinese market, attracting widespread attention from local users and Apple fan communities. According to screenshots and feedback posted by multiple social media users on the same day, the "Apple Intelligence & Siri" settings menu has appeared on devices in the Chinese region, with a layout largely consistent with that of English-speaking countries.

Multiple users on the social platform X reported that the feature appeared suddenly and without prior notice, including well-known leaker account “L0vetodream.” Pictures they uploaded show that the master switch for Apple Intelligence and Siri-related configuration options are already visible in the system “Settings” app. Some users have noticed that in some interfaces and system translations, “Apple Intelligence” is presented as similar expressions like “Apple Smart,” demonstrating Apple’s exploration of localized naming.
Notably, although users have begun testing and sharing related screenshots, as of press time, Apple has not officially promoted this feature on its Chinese website, regional online App Store homepage, or in press releases. In other words, the current launch is more like a “silent opening” or testing phase, rather than a large-scale official release to the general public. However, industry observers generally expect that as the functionality becomes more stable and localized, Apple may make more systematic announcements about the implementation of “Apple Intelligence” in China through its official website, news services, and other channels.
Currently, there are no signs that Apple has released any detailed usage guides or technical specifications for the feature locally. Users are still largely speculating about its specific capabilities, data processing paths, and adaptation to the Chinese regulatory environment.
