Diablo IV China Server Announces Free Giveaway After Four Months of Launch, Permanently Added to Library
The official China server of Diablo IV has announced that from 00:00 on April 28th to 23:59 on May 27th, new players can claim the game (originally priced at 128 yuan) for free, permanently adding it to their library and unlocking all basic content. Notably, the China server only launched on December 12th last year, meaning it has only been available for just over four months.
At the time, the standard edition of the game was priced at 128 yuan, the Deluxe Edition at 488 yuan, and the complete Diablo collection at 888 yuan.
To welcome back returning players, the China server of Diablo IV is simultaneously launching exclusive benefits for existing players.
Any player who already owns any version of Diablo IV on the China server before April 28th will be able to claim 2400 Platinum in-game currency for free between 00:00 on April 28th and 23:59 on May 27th.
In addition, both new and returning players will receive a brand new limited Mythic series skin when the "Vessel of Hatred" expansion is released: in Season 13, any newly created seasonal character reaching maximum level (excluding Paragon levels) will receive the new Paladin Mythic-themed skin "Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman" for free.
It is understood that Diablo IV was released in June 2023, and sales exceeded $666 million within 5 days of the game's release, setting a record for the fastest sales in Blizzard Entertainment history.
The game generally continues the gameplay from previous installments, and for the first time incorporates an open-world setting.
