Recently, at the Water Splashing Festival in Jinghong, Yunnan, a Toyota Boyun 3X SUV entered a certain street and was splashed with water by people on the road. During the incident, someone pressed the tailgate switch, opening the trunk, and then many people began to pour water into the car with water guns. The incident has sparked heated discussion among netizens. The owner, Mr. Wei, recently told the media that he is taking the vehicle to the 4S store for inspection and has reported the incident to the local police station.
“My parents were sitting in the back seat, and my father is not in good health, he has a cerebral thrombosis. After the water was sprayed onto the central control position in the front driver's seat, it started to smoke. My parents in the back seat were soaked. The car was only bought 3 months ago and cost more than 130,000 yuan.”
Mr. Wei’s wife said, “After the incident on the 14th, we originally thought it was nothing serious, but yesterday we found that the inside of the car was soaked, so we quickly moved everything out of the car to clean and dry.”
At the same time, she also posted online requesting netizens to provide clues about the perpetrators, “We came to have fun, but we didn’t expect such a thing to happen. If there are any problems with the car after the inspection, we will pursue the perpetrators’ responsibility.”
It is worth mentioning that the vehicle’s brand, GAC Toyota, also issued a response, stating that after learning about the situation, they contacted the owner immediately and arranged for a comprehensive inspection at the store.
