Shenzhen Parking Lot Requires 6 "Agreements" to Pay, Company Fined 10,000 Yuan
Recently, the Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation exposed a number of irregularities in parking fees. A certain underground parking lot was fined 10,000 yuan for requiring car owners to click "agree" six times in a row to complete payment. It is reported that the parking lot does not have a manual payment channel, and all payment operations must be completed online. Car owners need to agree to privacy authorization, location information collection, and other terms one by one, requiring a total of six clicks of "agree" to complete the payment.

For this reason, some citizens said that simple parking payment has become cumbersome and complex, with a poor experience, complaining that "paying a parking fee is like signing a contract."
It is understood that the parking lot operator, due to forcibly bundling privacy authorization and setting unreasonable payment thresholds, violated the provisions of the first paragraph of Article 12, item (2) of the "Implementation Measures of Guangdong Province for the Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Law of the People's Republic of China."
According to Article 33 of the aforementioned measures, the market supervision department issued a warning to the parties involved and imposed a fine of 10,000 yuan in accordance with the law.
The market supervision department clarified that parking lots without manual channels and mandatory registration are both illegal behaviors, and will continue to increase the intensity of investigation and rectification.
