Veteran Executive and Apple Watch Marketing Head Stan Ng Retires from Apple
Stan Ng recently announced on LinkedIn that after 31 years at Apple, his career has officially come to a close, and he spent a day completing a long-held "wish list" at Apple Park. He served as Apple's Vice President of Marketing for Apple Watch and health products, deeply involved in the overall design philosophy of the smartwatch, and frequently appeared at Apple launch events to introduce Apple Watch products.

Ng's tenure at Apple dates back to the early days of the iPod, before Steve Jobs' return to the company. This experience of over thirty years makes him one of the few "veterans" within Apple.
In this farewell post, Ng meticulously recalled his last day at Apple Park. He wrote that the day began watching the sunrise while listening to music on his original iPod from back then. He also specifically took this iPod to the company gym for one last workout, proudly mentioning that the device still uses its original battery and "can still play for several hours." He summarized his thirty-plus years of work with a simple sentence: "Working at Apple has been a joy, and I truly love what I do."
Ng did not disclose specific plans for his retirement in his public post, nor did he explain why he chose to leave the company at this time. However, reports indicate that other departing Apple executives, such as former AI head John Giannandrea, were also believed to have chosen to leave after the latest round of Apple stock vesting (April 15th of this year), and this detail provides a possible explanation for the timing of Ng's departure. With this veteran marketing executive, deeply involved in the development of both the iPod and Apple Watch, officially leaving, internal personnel changes within Apple's wearables and health business lines continue to attract external attention.
