Iran Announces Strait of Hormuz Fully Open to Commercial Vessels
Iran has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is now "fully open" to commercial shipping, marking a significant step towards ending the war with the United States and Israel, a conflict that has driven up energy prices.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on X platform: "In accordance with the Lebanese ceasefire arrangement, the Strait of Hormuz is now announced fully open to all commercial vessels for the remainder of the ceasefire." He said vessels could navigate along "already published coordination routes" by Iranian authorities.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced Thursday evening that Lebanon and Israel would cease fire for 10 days. This key move eased tensions with Iran.
