Huang Renxun Warns: It's Not AI That Will Eliminate You, But Those Who Use AI First
NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun, speaking at Stanford Graduate School of Business, once again likened the rise of artificial intelligence to the industrial revolution of the modern world. While discussions about the benefits of AI have been ongoing for a long time, related social debates have never subsided, especially its potential impact on human employment, which has always been the focus of public attention.

Artificial intelligence does indeed make life more convenient, but ordinary people harbor hidden anxieties. This anxiety stems from an intuition: that in the near future, they may lose their jobs due to technological leaps.
Huang Renxun offered a different perspective. He believes that most people are unlikely to be directly unemployed because of AI, but rather that someone will lose competitiveness because those who have mastered AI tools first. Therefore, ensuring that everyone has access to and uses AI has become a top priority.
There are already many examples of this transformation happening in reality. For example, some carpenters who originally did basic work have now successfully transitioned to become architects by learning to use AI. They input their ideas into the system, and AI generates beautiful designs and sketches, and they can even work as interior designers.
In this way, practitioners have improved their skills, raised their service levels and business ceilings, and are thus able to offer more abundant products to the market. We must first make the public understand that AI is not some unfathomable mysterious technology, but a powerful technology that everyone should master.
Precisely because the operating logic of AI is simple and easy to use, it has become the fastest-spreading technology in human history. Huang Renxun firmly believes that this technology will ultimately create more jobs globally, rather than eliminate them.
The key is that we need to view AI as a platform that creates opportunities. The history of human evolution has always revolved around adaptability, and this strong adaptability is our core advantage. Those who can proactively adapt to the environment and integrate AI into their daily work will be the biggest beneficiaries of this revolution.
From a macro perspective, Huang Renxun believes that when this industrial revolution ends, the total number of employed people in society will be greater than it was at the beginning of the revolution. This is consistent with the logic of all previous industrial revolutions in human history. Technology, while replacing old jobs, always gives rise to a larger and more efficient employment ecosystem.
