Germany to Discuss Aviation Fuel Supply with Industry Representatives

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Transport plan to hold talks with fuel traders, airports and airline representatives on Monday. German Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil stated that precautionary measures must be taken to ensure the security of aviation fuel supply.

European airlines urged the EU on Tuesday to take emergency measures to address the fallout from the Iran conflict, such as monitoring the aviation fuel supply situation.

Germany has participated in the release of international strategic oil reserves. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Germany's share of the release is 4.9%, equivalent to 2.647 million tons, including 50,000 tons of aviation fuel.
