Huawei Pura 90 Series Officially Released: All Models Feature Straight Screens, Starting at 4699 Yuan
On April 20th, at the Huawei Pura series and all-scenario new product launch event, the Pura 90 series phones officially debuted. The new series consists of three models: Standard Edition, Pro Edition, and Pro Max Edition, all featuring a sleek straight screen design, emphasizing simplicity and refinement, with a starting price of 4699 yuan.
Among them, the Pro version is equipped with a 6.6-inch screen, and the Pro Max version with a 6.9-inch screen, both adopting a single punch-hole design; the Standard version features a 6.8-inch "pill" punch-hole screen, expected to support front-facing Hongmu imaging capabilities.
In terms of design, the Pro Max version is the biggest highlight: it is the first in the industry to launch a dual-color gradient metal frame, which makes the metal frame and the back shell achieve synchronous gradient effect, with stronger integration. This model is available in five colors: Orange Sea, Emerald Lake, Aurora Purple, Dawn Gold, and Obsidian Black.
The Pro version is available in four colors: Pink Papaya, Orange Soda, Coconut White, and Mulberry Black. Both models are available in four storage specifications: 12+256GB, 12+512GB, 16+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.
In terms of core specifications, the Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max are the first to be equipped with the Kirin 9030S chip, specifically customized for intelligent imaging. AI image understanding capabilities are improved by 200%, and the AI color engine is enhanced by 43%. Long-focus video clarity is improved by 110%, and long-focus anti-shake accuracy is enhanced by 30%.
In terms of imaging configuration, the Pura 90 Pro Max is equipped with the industry's first 200-megapixel RYYB telephoto sensor, a three-in-one super light-gathering prism, and chip-level 200 million RAW domain real-time processing technology. This model's rear quad-camera system includes a 50-megapixel ultra-high dynamic main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 200-megapixel large-bottom telephoto lens, and a second-generation Hongmu original color camera. Among them, the light intake of the 200-megapixel telephoto sensor is 5 times that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, supports CIPA 7.0 anti-shake level, and the module length is shortened by 20% compared to traditional architecture. In the 20x video recording scenario, its clarity is improved by 124%, and it is the first to support 10-meter distant voice enhancement.
In addition, the Pura 90 Pro Max also supports external connection of a 3.3x extender lens, which remains highly usable at 54x zoom with an equivalent focal length of 1296mm.
The simultaneously launched Pura 90 Pro adopts a rear triple-camera design, with the main camera specifications consistent with the Pro Max. The telephoto part is adjusted to a 50-megapixel super light-gathering macro telephoto lens, also equipped with a second-generation Hongmu original color camera, providing image quality support in ultra-long-focus and macro scenarios.
In terms of screen configuration, the Pro Max version is the first to launch anti-reflective and scratch-resistant Kunlun glass. By combining Kunlun glass with AR anti-reflective coating, it successfully reduces screen reflection by 70%, ensuring clear display in outdoor sunlight or indoor lighting. In addition, the screen has 16 times scratch resistance and 25 times drop resistance, and is called the strongest Kunlun glass ever. The official statement says that this model can be used with confidence without applying a screen protector.
At the launch event, Huawei also launched the new XMAGE intelligent shooting function. It supports AI pose recommendation, AI-assisted composition, 3D dynamic photos, portrait refinement, XMAGE style, and one-click film creation. Among them, AI pose recommendation combines popular photography poses on the platform, self-developed human factors model, and industry expert group, with a 20 million training database, and real-time updates of beauty pose trends. This function achieves a 300ms rapid response, intelligent line guidance, and supports scene understanding of character features, environmental features, pose features, and prop features.
