18,000 PC Power Supplies Recalled, CPSC Urges Users to Stop Use Immediately
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued an urgent safety recall notice on April 16th, announcing that ApexGaming is recalling a total of 18,000 PC power supplies under its Apex and Manik brands due to a risk of death or serious injury, urging users to stop use immediately.

This recall is not due to a performance defect in the power supplies, but rather the lack of permanent safety warning labels on the products, making it impossible for users to identify potential electric shock hazards.
Because the internal components of the power supply carry high voltage electricity, a charge may remain even after the power plug is removed. Contact with internal components could result in serious personal injury or even death.
Apex Gaming will send affected users UL-certified and heat-resistant permanent safety label stickers printed with warnings such as "DANGER: Risk of Electric Shock" and "Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or repair the power supply."
Users who do not wish to apply the labels themselves can request a free replacement of the entire power supply, but must return the original packaging.
Apex Gaming emphasizes that users must not use temporary labels or write warnings themselves; only the original factory labels or a complete product replacement meet safety requirements.
