Dalian McDonald's Bans Cosplay Makeup, Sparking Debate; Staff Respond: "Affects Other Customers"
Recently, a netizen posted a photo of a notice in a McDonald's stating "No makeup allowed in the restaurant, thank you for your cooperation," sparking online discussion. The netizen also wrote, "What happened at the Roosevelt Underground McDonald's?"

Some netizens commented that they had repeatedly seen anime and manga enthusiasts applying makeup in the restaurant, with related tools and clothing scattered around, disrupting normal dining order.
A staff member who manages three McDonald's stores in Dalian stated that the ban on makeup in the Roosevelt Plaza underground branch during holidays was a last resort.
The reason is that during holidays, a large number of cosplay enthusiasts gather in the restaurant to apply makeup, seriously affecting normal operations.
Due to a significant increase in complaints, they had to post a notice to maintain the dining environment for the majority of customers.
The staff member explained that due to the store's special location, the problem of cosplay enthusiasts gathering to apply makeup is particularly prominent. Every weekend and legal holiday, a large number of cosplay enthusiasts go to the store to apply makeup.
