Massage Pillow Clamps Hair, Woman Seeks Fire Department Assistance – Haircut Required for Release
The Hangzhou Fire Department reported that a woman in Tonglu County, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, got her hair tangled in the rollers of a massage pillow while relaxing at home and couldn't remove it. She had to go to the fire station for help, and firefighters had to cut her hair to free her.

Several strands of hair were tangled too tightly to be untangled. After obtaining the woman's consent, firefighters carefully cut the hair with scissors, safely removing it.
This isn't the first time this has happened. A woman in Liuzhou, Guangxi, also had her hair caught in an electric massage chair due to damaged outer skin. People around her quickly cut off the power, but couldn't free her hair, and firefighters had to disassemble the massage chair components to resolve the issue.
Massage equipment is comfortable to use and can relieve fatigue, but it hides significant safety hazards. Friends with long hair should tie up and secure their hair before using these products, and avoid letting it hang loose. It's best to inspect the equipment for damage or unusual noises before use.
If your hair does get caught, don't panic and don't pull hard. Immediately cut off the power and then ask firefighters or professionals for help to avoid making the situation worse.
