Nextorage Launches PCIe Gen4 QLC SSD, Starting at 1911 Yuan, with Only a One-Year Warranty
Nextorage has launched its new G-series EEA SSD, model NN4EEA. The product is based on the M.22280 specification, uses the PCIe Gen4 x4 channel, and is equipped with 3D QLC NAND flash particles. The overall solution adopts DRAM-less HMB with SLC caching, without a dedicated cache chip, relying on calling host memory to complete acceleration. The 8TB version complies with NVMe 1.4 specifications, while other capacity versions support NVMe 2.0.
In terms of performance, the maximum sequential read speed of the entire series is 7000MB/s. The sequential write speed is different, with versions from 1TB to 4TB reaching a maximum of 6100MB/s, and the 8TB version reaching 6400MB/s.
Random read and write performance also varies slightly depending on capacity. The 1TB version has a maximum random read of 710K IOPS and a write of 750K IOPS; the 2TB version has a read of 760K IOPS and a write of 870K IOPS; the 4TB version has a read of 780K IOPS and a write of 880K IOPS; and the 8TB version has a read of 650K IOPS and a write of 750K IOPS.
The warranty policy is the most special aspect of this SSD, with Nextorage providing only a 1-year warranty period.
However, the write endurance within the warranty is not low. According to the capacity from 1TB to 8TB, it provides 400TBW, 800TBW, 1600TBW, and 4000TBW respectively, with an average of 400TBW write endurance per TB.
In terms of price, the 1TB version is priced at 44550 Japanese yen (approximately 1911 RMB); the 2TB version is 86570 Japanese yen (approximately 3713 RMB); the 4TB version is 169400 Japanese yen (approximately 7265 RMB); and the 8TB version is 299800 Japanese yen (approximately 12857 RMB).
