Netizens shared on social media a luxury tourist train named "Silk Road Dream Enjoyment" on the 12306 railway platform, with a 17-day north-south Xinjiang itinerary priced at 204,000 yuan per person, far exceeding ordinary train ticket prices, quickly becoming a network focus. Many netizens expressed surprise, believing the price was beyond imagination, while others believed the product was aimed at high-end consumers and met the needs of market segmentation.
This high-priced train is not an ordinary passenger train, but a high-end customized tourism product operated by a tourism company stationed on the 12306 platform.
The itinerary departs from and returns to Xining, covering multiple core scenic spots in Xinjiang throughout the journey. It adopts an all-inclusive model, including all services such as transportation, accommodation, catering, and sightseeing. It also features a dedicated butler, a photographer accompanying the entire journey, and special themed catering, focusing on private, high-end, and immersive travel experiences.
A staff member of the operator stated that the train is positioned for the high-end market, with hardware and software benchmarked against high-end hotel standards. There are no shopping or optional activities arranged throughout the journey. Local reception services are provided by its own team, adopting a small reception model of one room per vehicle to ensure privacy and comfort.
The train has only 38 independent cabins, accommodating approximately 76 people at full capacity, with no multi-person layouts. Public spaces are ample, with some suites covering up to 22 square meters, equipped with smart bathrooms and other high-end facilities. Regarding the high price question, the operator explained that the 200,000 yuan is the standard price for adults, covering all services for the entire 17-day journey, not just the train ticket.
