Mold Reveals iPhone 18 Pro Max Thickness Exceeds 13mm
According to the latest leaks from a blogger, the iPhone 18 Pro Max has seen a noticeable increase in body thickness. Including the camera bump, its total thickness reaches 13.77 millimeters, a significant increase compared to the 12.92 millimeters of the previous iPhone 17 Pro Max.

This data has sparked widespread discussion online, with many Apple fans complaining that the iPhone 18 Pro Max's thickness makes it look like a giant brick, and its camera bump is the most prominent in history.
From the exposed molds, the iPhone 18 Pro Max continues the design language of its predecessor. The back of the body adopts a horizontally arranged large matrix DECO design, integrating three high-performance cameras, creating a very strong visual impact.
The new machine adopts a sturdy integrated aluminum alloy body. To support wireless charging, Apple embeds an ultra-ceramic crystal cover in the back area below the lens module, a combination of materials that ensures structural strength while also accommodating functional needs.
The main reason for the more severe camera bump in this generation of phones is that Apple has equipped it with advanced variable aperture technology for the first time. This hardware-level upgrade allows the phone to control the amount of light entering the lens more precisely, like a professional camera.
The application of a variable aperture will significantly improve noise performance in low-light environments, greatly enhancing image clarity. At the same time, it can also bring more natural and layered optical bokeh effects, bringing the texture of mobile photography closer to professional equipment.
