"Resident Evil 9" game director Koji Inaba posted two photos on his personal Instagram celebrating the game surpassing 7 million units sold – one cake for Leon and one for Grace. This is a significant milestone, indicating that "Resident Evil 9: Requiem" also demonstrates remarkable longevity.
"Resident Evil 9" launched on February 27th of this year and has received overwhelmingly positive recent reviews on Steam, even though it’s been available for less than two months.
Notably, Capcom doesn't seem to be abandoning this game. There have been multiple reports that Capcom is preparing to release a Mercenaries mode. Furthermore, the official channels have confirmed a DLC is in development, rumored to bring back the fan-favorite character Ada Wong.
