AMD Sweeps Top 10 CPU Sales Chart, Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Ranks Quickly
AMD's newly released flagship processor, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, has entered the top 10 of Amazon US CPU sales, currently ranking 10th. Priced at $899 (6999 yuan in China), $200 more than the 9950X3D, it offers minimal gaming performance difference compared to the $449 9800X3D, with advantages mainly in professional workstation workloads.

Currently, the top 10 CPU sales on Amazon are all occupied by AMD, with the X3D series chips taking up the vast majority of positions, including the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D.
Intel's performance is quite dismal, with the highest-ranked Intel processor, the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, currently ranking only 17th.
This processor has the same 24-core, 24-thread configuration as the Ultra 9 285K, offers better gaming performance, and has much better value than the 9950X3D2, but still cannot shake AMD X3D chips' dominance.
Consumer purchasing logic doesn't seem to fully follow the principle of cost-effectiveness, just as the RTX 5090 remains popular at twice its launch price. There will always be enthusiasts willing to pay for the latest flagship.
More importantly, AMD's X3D series has established a strong user perception in mainstream price segments. Intel may have to wait until the end of the year for the Nova Lake series to turn things around.
