Zhongtong Express Livery Hungarian Aviation's Second A330 Freighter Arrives in Budapest
Hungarian Aviation's second Airbus A330 freighter recently arrived at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, marking another step forward for the airline in its Hungary-China air cargo layout. The aircraft, with Hungarian registration number HA-ZTO, arrived in Budapest on Friday evening, flown from Chengdu by Captain László Eschenbach and First Officer Gergely Mendrey. Notably, the aircraft's livery is from Zhongtong Express.
The report states that the aircraft is an A330-200P2F model, a freighter converted from a passenger aircraft, with the conversion work completed by Elbe Flugzeugwerke in Dresden, Germany. After a long period of preliminary preparation and completing relevant procedures under the continuous supervision of the Hungarian civil aviation regulatory authority, the aircraft has officially obtained Hungarian nationality registration.
The aircraft will operate on behalf of Chinese company Zhongtong Express and previously served with Air China.
According to current arrangements, the second A330 freighter is expected to enter commercial operation in early May, officially operating cargo flights between China and Hungary. The report points out that this also means Hungarian Aviation has taken a substantial step in expanding air cargo capacity between Central Europe, and is expected to further improve the efficiency of cargo flow and route security between the two countries.
