Is This Also Material Reuse? Props from Other Series Allegedly Used in the "Elden Ring" Movie
Stills from the "Elden Ring" live-action movie have widely circulated online, and fans have begun to act like microscopes, analyzing every detail. Their discoveries seem to involve not only plot hints but also an interesting production secret: some props... are actually borrowed from other projects.

Among them, Roder's knight helmet has attracted attention, a headpiece with a long visor. Keen-eyed fans quickly discovered that its base is almost identical to the helmet of a knight in the opening scene of the series "House of the Dragon." It appears the filmmakers simply refurbished the old prop, adding feathers and patterns to the top.
Although reusing and refurbishing old props is standard practice in the film and television industry, considering that one characteristic of FromSoftware or rather the Souls games under Hidetaka Miyazaki is the continued use of used materials in later games or subsequent works – the most classic example being the head-patting skull – which has even become a series classic.
Despite the teasing, fans are actually more pleased with this approach: it gives them more confidence that the movie will indeed convey the soul of the original work.
