New iPhones May Fail to Turn On After Battery Depletion, Affecting Multiple Models
Users are reporting a bug in several new iPhone models where the device fails to turn on after the battery is completely drained. Affected models include the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air. Users report that when the phone shuts down due to a zero percent battery, connecting it to a USB-C wired charger results in a black screen, no low battery indicator, and the device remains unresponsive.

Pressing the volume up, volume down buttons followed by a long press of the side button (hardware reset) often fails to wake the device, and the effect of wired charging restoring power is unstable.
This issue is not universal and does not affect all users, nor is it triggered every time the battery is depleted.
Currently, there is no official explanation from Apple regarding the cause of the problem, but multiple users have reported consistent descriptions of the issue on online communities.
An effective solution, verified by users and Apple retail store technicians, is to use a MagSafe wireless charger to charge the device, leaving it undisturbed for 10 to 15 minutes. The device usually recovers and displays the Apple logo.
This is a temporary issue, and the device can be restored to normal use through the above method. However, in scenarios without a wireless charger, it affects the device's emergency use. Apple has not yet released any official statement or fix.
