All-New Generation Lexus ES Launched, Starting at 299,900 Yuan
The all-new generation Lexus ES officially launched at the recently opened 2026 Beijing Auto Show, with one model available priced at 299,900 yuan. A pure electric version will be added later, and the old ES200 model will continue to be sold alongside the new Lexus ES, enriching consumer choices.

The new car made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show last April, featuring a new design language with a closed front face. The air intake grille is located below, and the front end is equipped with split headlights. The daytime running lights remain Lexus's classic lightning shape, with exaggerated guide slots on both sides, and the headlights are integrated into this area.
It adopts a distinctly sporty coupe style, with dimensions of 5140/1920/1555 (hybrid version) mm, and a wheelbase of 2950mm. Thanks to a 165mm increase in vehicle length and an 80mm increase in wheelbase, it appears more spacious.
However, the L-shaped black decorative strip on the side has been widely criticized by netizens, with most believing it is unnecessary and superfluous. Some vividly describe it as a "shrimp line."
The rear continues its iconic elegant style and is equipped with a popular through-type light group. In addition, the new car's license plate frame is located above the rear bumper and adopts a concave design, creating a distinct sense of layering.
Entering the car, the overall style has changed dramatically, aligning with the new forces in Chinese car manufacturing. For example, the center console features a dual-screen design with a central control screen and a co-driver screen. The center console features an electronic gear lever, completely abandoning Lexus's inherent visual effects, and many physical buttons have been canceled, replaced by touch buttons.
In terms of configuration, the new car will offer features such as driver's seat memory, front seat heating, ventilation, electric adjustment steering wheel, steering wheel heating, HUD head-up display, rear sunshade, front wireless phone charging, Mark Levinson audio, L2-level driving assistance, and a small sunroof (the pure electric version will be equipped with a variable color panoramic sunroof).
Regarding power, the new generation ES will offer hybrid and pure electric versions. The hybrid version adopts a 2.0L engine and a high-power motor, with a combined power of 145 kilowatts, matched with an E-CVT continuously variable transmission, and a fuel consumption of 4.39 liters per 100 kilometers.
The pure electric versions, ES 350e and ES 500e, are both based on the newly developed GA-K platform, equipped with a large-capacity battery. The ES 500e also features an intelligent all-wheel drive system DIRECT4.
