Luo Yonghao Responds to Collective Resignations of Oriental Selection Hosts: Are They Expected to Work for Teacher Tie Forever?
Following online comments labeling Luo Yonghao and Dong Yuhui as ungrateful, Luo Yonghao responded, questioning why hosts leaving after negotiating contract terminations are considered ungrateful. He questioned whether they were expected to work for Teacher Tie indefinitely.

He stated directly, “Are they expected to work for Teacher Tie forever? They even insincerely thanked Teacher Tie. What more do you want? Where do all these monsters come from? This world is truly bizarre…”
Recently, the fallout from the collective resignation of Oriental Selection hosts has continued to escalate.
On April 24th, Oriental Selection released an announcement stating that hosts Mingming and Tianquan would be leaving the platform. “Teacher Yu and they had sincere communication and attempted to retain them, but ultimately respected their choice. The company also respects and understands their individual career planning and development choices,” stated Oriental Selection’s HR department.
Subsequently, the wave of resignations among Oriental Selection hosts continued to expand. As of now, Mingming, Tianquan, Zhongcan, Linlin, and others have publicly announced their departures. Fans had previously referred to Dong Yuhui, Dundun, Mingming, and Tianquan as Oriental Selection’s “F4” livestreaming group, but now all four hosts have left the platform.
During a livestream on April 25th, Yu Minhong directly addressed the recent wave of resignations, formally apologizing to fans, users, and the team.
He stated that he had engaged in in-depth and sincere communication with the four hosts to try and retain them, and simultaneously facilitated two-way communication with the management team, making every effort to retain core talent.
Yu Minhong publicly apologized for the disruption caused to users, fans, and the team by these personnel changes, and stated that the four hosts were all excellent employees who had accompanied the platform’s growth, and their departure was a loss for the platform.
Yu Minhong mentioned that the company fully respects the hosts’ individual career planning and choices, and will comprehensively review internal management issues in light of this event.
He admitted that after adjustments to the management team, the company’s management approach had deviated, overemphasizing institutional control and neglecting humanistic care for the team, leading to problems with team atmosphere.
Oriental Selection will subsequently optimize its management model, balancing institutionalized operations with humanistic care, and rectify rigid, high-pressure management issues.
Furthermore, Yu Minhong stated that the departure of these core hosts will not affect Oriental Selection’s daily operations, product supply chain, or user service system, and the platform will continue to conduct livestreaming business as usual.
