Report: New "Zelda" Game Coming as Early as Next Year
Recently, according to well-known overseas leaker NashWeedle, in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the "Legend of Zelda" series, Nintendo may release a brand new 2D mainline "Zelda" game in 2027.

Currently, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" have landed on the Switch 2 platform. Combined with the development details previously revealed by Monolith Soft, the new work plans for the "Legend of Zelda" series have once again sparked heated discussion among players. Leaker Nash Weedle released a cryptic message hinting at the release of a new installment in the series in 2027, coupled with clues from previously leaked project code names, making this rumor more credible.
According to the breakdown of the leaked information, multiple works in the "Legend of Zelda" series each have their own exclusive internal code names, and the code name "Bernard" specifically refers to this unannounced 2D new sequel.
