McDonald's Milkshakes Officially Announce Return, Available Nationwide During May Day Holiday
On April 28th, McDonald's China announced that milkshakes will be permanently available in 44 designated restaurants across 15 cities nationwide starting May 1st, moving from limited-time pop-ups to a regular menu item.

This milkshake return covers 15 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Suzhou, Xi'an, Changsha, Shenyang, and Qingdao. Consumers can check the McDonald's official App to find designated stores near them selling milkshakes.
McDonald's China stated that they have consistently heard calls for the return of milkshakes from fans across various channels. "Consumers' enthusiasm allows us to deeply feel everyone's strong emotional connection to milkshakes." During last August's "McIsland" themed event, milkshakes returned for a limited time trial in 13 flagship stores, achieving high sales and generating significant discussion, paving the way for this long-term return, which has been over six months in the making.
Some netizens in the comments section have called for attention to the popularity of apple pie and the return of McChicken. McDonald's responded that they will continue to listen to consumer feedback and do not necessarily promise to replicate everything, but "if there's enough demand, there's a chance."
McDonald's milkshakes have finally officially announced their return, available nationwide during the May Day holiday! Will you go try one?
