Lenovo, HP, Dell and Other Laptops Increase Prices by 20% Across the Board: Store Owners Say "No One is Buying Now"
Recently, domestic offline retail stores have experienced a new round of collective price increases for laptops. Leading brands such as Lenovo, HP, and Dell have all raised prices across the board, with an overall increase of 20% or more. Many popular models have seen price increases far exceeding the industry average. A computer store owner in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, frankly stated that the market contrast is very obvious: last year you could buy a Lenovo for over 3,000 yuan, this year it starts at over 4,000 yuan. Previously, during peak season, they sold seven or eight units a day, but now there is no one in the market.

Store owners said that the momentum of this round of laptop price increases far exceeds the increases in stocks and gold. The Lenovo Savior Y9000P, originally priced at 12,000 yuan, has now risen to 18,000 yuan, an increase of nearly one-third.
Even entry-level models costing over 10,000 yuan now have a starting price of 12,000 yuan. Lenovo, HP, and Dell, all major brands, have seen price increases without exception.
This collective price increase in terminal laptops is not a price adjustment by the brands alone, but an inevitable result of the cost increase in the entire PC industry chain being passed down.
As early as early April, the PC industry had launched a price increase across the entire chain, from core hardware such as CPUs, memory, and solid-state drives, to basic materials such as PCB circuit boards, plastic raw materials, and packaging consumables. Prices rose across the board, and price increases in terminal products had already become a foregone conclusion.
Coupled with the Middle East situation, which is scheduled to be upgraded by the end of February 2026, the already strained supply chain has been further aggravated. Affected by the obstruction of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the supply of key raw materials such as helium, aluminum, and crude oil, which are essential for semiconductor manufacturing, has been restricted.
Industry insiders revealed that the delivery cycle of PCB circuit boards has now been significantly extended from the original 6 weeks to 6 months.
Unlike the past where only high-end gaming laptops were affected by component shortages, this round of price increases for all materials has affected all categories of consumer laptops, covering all models from entry-level to mainstream to high-end. The cost of purchasing for ordinary consumers will directly increase.
