JAC Motors Announces Intention to Invest in Pilotus, with Huawei Holding 80% of its Shares
Today, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. announced its intention to invest in Pilotus Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. as the counterparty. Currently, JAC Motors has not signed a formal investment agreement with relevant parties, and the investment remains uncertain.

The company has initiated negotiations with Pilotus and its existing shareholders, planning to participate in the investment in Pilotus, working together to help Pilotus grow into a global leader in automotive intelligent driving systems and components, and create an open cooperation platform for the entire automotive industry.
The specific amount of this investment, the transaction method, and the valuation criteria will be subject to the formal transaction documents to be signed subsequently. If the transaction is ultimately completed, Pilotus will become an associate company of JAC Motors and will not change the company's consolidated financial statement scope.
It is understood that Pilotus Intelligent was established on January 16, 2026, with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan, and Xu Zhijun serves as the legal representative.
In terms of equity structure, Huawei currently holds 80%, Seres Automobile holds 10%, and Avatr Technology holds 10%.
Financial reports show that JAC Motors' revenue in the first quarter of 2026 was 11.459 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.91%; net profit attributable to the parent company was a loss of 606 million yuan, a significant increase in the loss compared to the same period last year, with basic earnings per share of -0.27 yuan. In terms of sales, the company's total vehicle sales in the first quarter were 84,300 units, a year-on-year decrease of 15.51%.
Official website information shows that JAC Group has a long-standing cooperative relationship with Huawei. The two parties signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement as early as December 2019.
In December 2023, they signed another cooperation agreement on intelligent new energy vehicles, determining to jointly build a super-luxury intelligent electric vehicle using the HarmonyOS Zhixing model.
The first model jointly developed by the two parties, the S800, was officially launched on May 30, 2025. It has gained market recognition with its top-notch intelligent configuration and luxurious product positioning. As of the end of March 2026, the cumulative delivery volume has exceeded 16,000 units.
