LABUBU Refrigerator Resale Prices Drop Significantly After Initial Frenzy
The Pop Mart LABUBU refrigerator went on sale at 10 PM on April 30th, selling out immediately on both the Pop Mart Home Appliances official store on JD.com and the Tmall flagship store. The refrigerator, available in Home and House of the Monsters versions, is limited to 999 units globally, each with a unique serial number, and retails for 5999 yuan.
It is reported that JD.com, as the official sales channel for genuine LABUBU refrigerators, received over 112,000 pre-orders within just 7 days of launching on April 24th.
Last night, amidst the buying frenzy, the Pop Mart LABUBU refrigerator, originally priced at 5999 yuan, was being resold on the Xianyu App for 9999 yuan, a premium of 4000 yuan. On the Poizon App, the highest quoted price for the LABUBU refrigerator reached 22999 yuan, a premium of 17000 yuan compared to the official retail price of 5999 yuan, and a white House of the Monsters version was sold for 20999 yuan.
This morning, Sina Tech found that the resale prices of the Pop Mart LABUBU themed refrigerator have dropped significantly. On the Xianyu App, a reseller explicitly stated "Guaranteed authentic, will forward directly upon arrival." When asked why the price was lowered to 6500 yuan, the seller responded, "Most on Xianyu are selling for around 6800 yuan."
