A Legendary Graphics Card Returns: RTX 3060 12GB to Resume Production in June, Launch in July
According to the latest leak from Bocangtang, NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB series chips will resume production this June, with related chips arriving soon. These chips will primarily be allocated to various AIC brand manufacturers, and major brands are expected to start mass production of graphics cards based on this chip around July, gradually launching available products to the market.
Rainbow, ASUS, MSI, Galaxy and other major AIC brands will receive a certain amount of supply, but the specific quotas for each company vary, and the overall supply will be relatively limited.
The RTX 3060 12GB is one of the best-selling graphics card series in NVIDIA history. Thanks to its 12GB of large memory and excellent cost-performance ratio, it has consistently maintained a solid user base in the 1080P and 2K gaming markets.
This resumption of production is not simply clearing out existing inventory, but rather a strategic adjustment by NVIDIA to current market demand. In the 2000-2500 yuan price range, consumers are particularly eager for a graphics card that is stable, has sufficient memory, and is reasonably priced.
However, from the cost side, the material cost of the RTX 3060 12GB is relatively high. The estimated final price will not be too low. Compared to the RTX 5050 and 5060, the resumed RTX 3060 12GB will have certain disadvantages in terms of cost-performance ratio and absolute performance.
Overall, the re-entry of these RTX 3060 12G cards into the market will alleviate the supply pressure in the mid-to-low-end graphics card market to some extent.
If the final pricing is reasonable and the market response is positive, NVIDIA may consider resuming production of more classic models. Conversely, if the market reaction is lukewarm, it may accelerate NVIDIA's full transition to new generation products.
