Dreame's Yu Hao Showcases Modular Phone: Not Just the Lens is Detachable, the Body is Too
Dreame Technology's founder, Yu Hao, released a real machine video of their modular phone. The design is very eye-catching, with both the lens and the back cover being detachable, offering high playability. The video clearly shows the phone uses a white back cover with a simple overall appearance. The most special feature is its rear circular lens module, which can be removed and connected via magnetic adsorption and contacts, making disassembly and assembly very convenient.

Not only can the lens be detached, but the entire phone back cover can also be removed. Removing it makes the body lighter and thinner, making it easier to carry around daily.
The front of the phone features a centrally located front-facing camera, but the screen hasn't been lit up yet, so the specific display effect and details are unclear.
In fact, there have been reports of Dreame working on a modular phone for a while. In January of this year, the Dreame phone team showcased high-end series and flagship modular series products at the Southwest Europe Distributor Conference, revealing that the modular version would be paired with a wealth of expansion accessories.
Now, Yu Hao personally showcasing the real machine indicates that this modular phone has entered the actual research and testing phase and is no longer just a conceptual design on paper. Compared to traditional phones, modular design allows users to replace accessories according to their needs, such as changing the lens to improve imaging capabilities or removing the back cover to reduce weight, offering more flexibility.
Currently, the phone's release time and detailed specifications have not been announced, but based on the real machine showcase and previous information, Dreame aims to forge a new path in the high-end phone market with a modular approach. Many netizens are also looking forward to whether this detachable and replaceable design will bring a different user experience.
