Comprehensive Price Increase: Sony Has Raised the Price of Official Refurbished PS5 Slim
Sony has increased the price of its official refurbished PS5 Slim, covering both the disc version and the digital edition. The PlayStation Store has been updated to reflect these price changes. The first to discover this price adjustment for Sony's official certified refurbished PS5 Slim was player HazzadorGamin, and the store page has now confirmed the change.

The price of the official certified refurbished PS5 with disc drive has increased from $449.99 to $549.99, while the price of the official certified refurbished PS5 digital edition has increased from $399.99 to $499.99.
Just at the end of March 2024, Sony had completed a price increase for the entire new PS5 console lineup. Previously, official refurbished models were a choice for players to save on purchase costs: they only needed to bear the slight risk of a second-hand device to obtain a console that was officially certified and had all components in good working order, at a price lower than new models.
This price increase for refurbished units means that even the originally more affordable models have been affected by the overall price increases and supply chain tensions in the technology industry.
