Xbox to Host Livestream on May 8th, Revealing More Details About New Host Project Helix
Microsoft announced that it will host a 2026 Spring "Gaming Development Update" livestream at 00:00 Beijing time on May 8th, at which time it will reveal details of the next-generation Xbox host Project Helix.

This program will feature Chris Charla, General Manager of Xbox Portfolio and Projects, and Jason Ronal, Vice President of Next Generation, detailing the content announced at GDC and delving into Project Helix and its significance for the future development of Xbox.
Project Helix will adopt a custom AMD SoC and be co-designed for the next generation of DirectX. Helix will create more opportunities for developers to optimize build workflows, improve performance, and iterate more efficiently.
The goal of "Project Helix" is to allow players to enjoy Xbox and PC games, provide leading performance and lead the next generation of host games, while also striving to make games spanning four generations of Xbox playable in the years to come.
