Grok Voice Mode Coming to Apple CarPlay, in Final Stages of Release Preparation
Apple CarPlay is taking a significant step in functional expansion by beginning to support AI chatbots. The third application set to join this update is attracting considerable attention – it's Grok. A placeholder application for Apple CarPlay has quietly appeared in the latest iPhone version of the Grok app.
Although the function is currently not usable, the appearance of this placeholder icon is a strong signal that xAI is actively preparing to provide support for Apple's in-car system in the near future.
When users attempt to launch the app, a prompt message appears on the screen: "Grok voice mode is coming to CarPlay."
Notably, Grok is already a built-in feature of Tesla vehicles. This upcoming CarPlay support means the AI chatbot will break free from Tesla's limitations and enter almost all other brands of in-car systems, bringing a convenient interactive experience to a wider user base.
