T2 CEO Discusses the Pressure of "GTA6": High Player Expectations are Both Exciting and Frightening
Take-Two CEO recently stated that "standing on the sidelines" of such a highly anticipated project as "GTA6" is both exciting and immensely stressful. During the period players have been waiting for the release of "GTA6" or even a new trailer, most information about the game has come from sporadic statements by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

Previously, he emphasized that console players remain the core audience for "GTA6" and Rockstar. This time, he further discussed his mindset when participating in the release of such a heavyweight title.

"GTA6" Aims to Deliver a "Never-Before-Seen" Experience
Recently, in an interview with Bloomberg, Zelnick stated that the goal of "GTA6" is "to bring players a never-before-seen experience." He described that, although he is not a frontline developer, being "very close to the front lines" is both exciting and frightening, because external expectations are too high.
Zelnick also mentioned that the team "never claims success before it is achieved," and stated that they have "the best creative team," and the company encourages them to pursue their passions. Take Two strives "to provide them with unlimited funding, creativity, and human resources, and then their goal is to pursue perfection."
PC Launch Skipped Because Console Players are the Core Group
During the Bloomberg interview, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked why "GTA6" will not launch on PC initially, and his answer was surprising, stating that the console platform is Rockstar's "core consumer group."
“Rockstar has always started with console platforms because, for a work of this magnitude, the key is to serve the core player base – and to serve them to the extreme.”
From this statement, Rockstar has clearly defined the focus of its release strategy for "GTA6." Subsequently, Strauss Zelnick further stated that if you do not prioritize and excellently meet the needs of core users, you will not be able to reach other user groups.
He also specifically clarified that the initial PC absence of "GTA6" is not due to marketing cooperation with PlayStation, as there have been rumors that Sony has marketing rights for "GTA6."
In any case, even if the initial release is limited to console platforms, "GTA6" is still widely believed to break sales records. Analysts predict that "GTA6" could sell 20 million copies on its first day. In addition, the game will also launch a physical version to meet the needs of players who like to collect physical discs.
