Airport Reminds Passengers Not to Carry King Goujian Swords Onboard, Several Netizens' Cultural and Creative Swords Blocked
On May 5th, reports indicated that Wuhan Tianhe Airport has put up a strict security check reminder. The sign clearly informs passengers that cultural and creative products like the King Goujian Sword are not allowed in carry-on luggage. Airport staff stated that the number of passengers carrying King Goujian Sword cultural and creative souvenirs has increased recently. The security check department once temporarily stored four or five such cultural and creative swords in a single day, and the reminder sign was set up to accurately publicize security check regulations.

According to relevant civil aviation security regulations, blades longer than 6 centimeters are prohibited from being carried into the cabin. These items must be temporarily stored, checked, or mailed to guide passengers to travel in a standardized manner and ensure flight safety.
Many passengers have a certain misunderstanding during security checks. They often believe that cultural and creative souvenirs are not sharpened and do not seem large, and should therefore be allowed in the cabin. However, safety standards will not be lowered because they are souvenirs.
After these items are stopped at the security check, some passengers, because they did not arrange for checked baggage in advance and found it too troublesome to mail them temporarily, simply abandoned them. This has led to a backlog of cultural and creative swords at the security check that passengers cannot take with them.
Hereby, we especially remind all passengers to learn about the relevant regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration regarding prohibited carry-on items before boarding. In addition to various blades, items such as lighters and various sharp tools are also on the restricted list.
Sorting luggage in advance can not only avoid embarrassment and trouble at the security checkpoint, but also ensure the smooth and efficient progress of the entire journey. Safe travel requires attention to every detail, and every passenger should consciously abide by the rules and jointly maintain public transportation order.
